It shows live wait times and Lightning Lane return windows for every attraction, charts today's wait against a normal day so you can tell a 45-minute morning from a 45-minute afternoon, and times the queue you actually stood in with a Live Activity that keeps counting on your Lock Screen. Everything you ride is stamped into a collection, and every visit is kept on a Pass that adds up your park days, hours inside, longest waits, and the time Lightning Lane actually saved you. Parky is free to download, with an optional Parky Gold subscription at $99.99 a year after a 3-day free trial, or $9.99 a week.

Full description

A theme-park app usually asks for a plan. Parky asks for a decision: the board shows the live wait for every ride in the park, next to the Lightning Lane return window, so the next hour can be settled without opening a spreadsheet or a map.

The number on the board is only half of it. Every attraction carries a chart of the whole day — what it is posting now, what it normally posts at this hour, and when it went down — because a 45-minute wait at ten in the morning and a 45-minute wait at four in the afternoon are not the same number, and one of them is worth walking away from.

When you do join a line, Parky times the line you actually stood in rather than the number the board guessed. The timer runs on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so the phone can go back in a pocket, and the entry time winds back for the queue you joined five minutes before remembering to start it.

Afterwards, the day is kept. Every attraction, show, parade, and fireworks in both resorts has a hand-drawn stamp that fills in when you ride it, and every visit becomes a park day on a Pass that adds up over seasons: park days, hours inside the gates, most-ridden attractions, longest waits, and the hours Lightning Lane genuinely saved. Nothing is posted anywhere — there is no feed and no social graph — and park days you never logged can be reconstructed from the dates and places already in your photo library, with the photos staying on the device.

About the developer

Parky is made by Chase Van Derrick, an independent developer working as Nauta Ventures LLC.

It is built for the way a park day actually goes — a few decisions that matter, a lot of walking, and a day worth remembering afterwards without having narrated it into a feed while it happened. That is also why it covers two resorts rather than many: every attraction, show, parade, and fireworks in Walt Disney World and Disneyland is drawn as its own stamp, which is not something that scales by adding parks quickly.

All park, attraction, and property names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Wait times, hours, and availability are compiled from a variety of sources and can lag or be incorrect. Parky is a companion, not an authority.
