Crowd calendar. Pick your day.

Each park is scored against its own normal day. A 5 is a typical day for that park; a 10 is among its busiest, a 1 among its quietest. The score tracks how long the park's headline rides' lines run between 10 AM and 6 PM, so it measures what you'll actually feel in line.

For roughly the next month, Parky reads what the parks themselves publish: operating hours, event nights that close a park early, and date-priced Lightning Lane, which Disney sets by expected demand. Past that, it uses the calendar: weekends, holiday weekends, and school breaks for the districts and regions that fill each resort, from Florida and Southern California to New York, Texas, Canada, and the UK.

Parky measures every park day after it happens and grades its forecasts against it every night; each park's page shows its own track record, and parks where the calendar isn't reliable yet say so. Today's number is different: once the gates open it updates from the headline rides' actual waits, and by early afternoon it lands within one level of the final answer about 70% of the time, 85% by 3 PM. Days more than a month out are an early outlook, shown hatched.

On nights with a separately ticketed event, like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Halloween Horror Nights, the park closes to day guests in the late afternoon. Fewer hours and fewer day guests usually mean shorter daytime lines.
